About the role

The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.

Weirton Medical Center is an acute care, 240-bed institution (187 acute care beds, 20 adult psychiatric beds, and 33 skilled care beds) serving the Northern panhandle of West Virginia, Eastern Ohio, and suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the areas of Hematology/Oncology
• Provide excellent patient care
• Achieve excellence in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications

• Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license
• Must have completed Internal Medicine residency program, as well as Hematology/Oncology fellowship program
• Must be board certified / eligible in Hematology/Oncology
