Hematologist - Oncologist Physician
Job Summary
The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center Cancer Institute, affiliated with The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a Hematologist-Oncologist to join its team in Towson, Maryland.
About the Role
Join a large, well-established outpatient and hospital consultative practice. All oncology services are available on site and under one comprehensive Cancer Center. Collaborate with a collaborative team including radiation oncologists, a palliative care team, a wellness & support program, rehabilitation services, and a clinical research team. A 1:5 call schedule is offered. Opportunities for research within the Cancer Institute are available and encouraged. Faculty appointment is available, with close affiliation to the flagship academic cancer center.
Responsibilities
- Practice hematologic and oncologic medicine in a large, well-established outpatient and hospital consultative setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including radiation oncologists, palliative care team, wellness & support program, rehabilitation services, and clinical research team.
- Participate in research opportunities within the Cancer Institute.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to the academic mission of the Cancer Institute.
Requirements
- Active license to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
- Completion of residency or fellowship in area of specialty.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
