Physician - Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine

AtlantiCare, southeastern New Jersey’s largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, is seeking an accomplished Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to lead its Maternal-Fetal Medicine department.

About the role

This leadership position provides strategic, clinical, and operational oversight of all MFM services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will guide a growing team of Perinatologists and Advanced Practice Nurses while shaping the future of high-risk obstetric care in alignment with AtlantiCare's Vision 2030—an initiative grounded in innovation, health equity, digital integration, and excellence in care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight of all clinical and operational activities in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine department, including credentialing, performance management, and policy implementation.
• Oversee clinical performance, quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies, including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, and digital health tools.
• Expand outreach initiatives, improve health equity, and address the unique needs of underserved communities in southeastern New Jersey.

What you’ll lead

• A collaborative team of Perinatologists and Advanced Practice Nurses.
• Two MFM outpatient practices in Pomona and Atlantic City.
• A highly supported team including a Practice Manager, RN Clinical Manager, RNs, and Perinatal Sonographers.
• Inpatient MFM consultative services at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for Childbirth, featuring:
  • 22-bed Level III NICU
  • 9 labor & delivery rooms
  • 25 private postpartum rooms
