Physician - Department of Radiology, Neuroradiologist - Onsite (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Neuroradiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track are determined based on academic record and experience. We are currently interviewing candidates for all shifts.

Schedule

• Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday for both part-time and full-time positions; no evening or overnight call responsibilities.
• Swing Shift: 12pm - 8pm
• Evening Shift: 4pm – 1am; 7 days on, 14 days off rotation schedule
• Weekend and holiday coverage is limited and equitably shared among faculty.

• The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging.
• Expanding focus on artificial intelligence, supported by Ohio State’s designation as an ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH-AI), as well as theranostics and advanced imaging technologies.

• Rapid clinical expansion to meet growing patient demand, including major investments in new and renovated facilities such as the 820-bed inpatient hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center.
• Expanding reach through new ambulatory care centers in New Albany, Dublin, and Powell, alongside established imaging sites across the region.

Division Overview

The Division of Neuroradiology focuses on all aspects of Neuroradiology, particularly MRI and CT interpretations of the brain, spine, head and neck, and image-guided procedures of the spine and neck. The division enjoys excellent collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with referring specialty services and serves a busy Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and a large NCI-Designated Cancer Center. Neuroradiology faculty provide outstanding teaching to fellows, residents, and medical students and serve as teaching faculty for thriving Neuroradiology Fellowship, Diagnostic Radiology Residency, and Integrated IR/DR Residency training programs.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Neuroradiology Division of the Department of Radiology:
  • Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Neuroradiology Service.
  • Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Neuroradiology Service.
• Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
  • Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
  • Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
  • Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
• Research and Scholarship:
  • Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation.
  • May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials.
  • Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate.

Requirements

• M.D., D.O, or foreign equivalent.
• Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR).
• Completion of Subspecialty fellowship in Neuroradiology by time of appointment.
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Interest in image-guided procedures is desired.
