About the role
The Rowan-Virtua New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging (NJISA) is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to join their team. NJISA is a Center of Excellence with a tripartite mission of clinical service, education, and research, offering primary care services across the continuum of care, including acute care, ambulatory care, home and assisted living care, subacute and long-term care. Specialty programs include the Memory Assessment Program, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and House Calls.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care/geriatric clinical services in the ambulatory, acute, home, long-term care, and subacute settings
- Participate in the on-call schedule
- Participate in the training and education of medical students and residents
- Participate in faculty development
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair
Requirements
- Hold a valid NJ Medical License
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics preferred
Qualifications
- Doctorate in relevant field
- Experience in geriatric medicine
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Main clinical campus location: Philadelphia metropolitan area, approximately 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from Atlantic Ocean, and 2 hours from New York City
- All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US
- This faculty appointment is tenure eligible and may be granted upon successful completion of criteria listed in the Rowan-Virtua SOM Faculty Bylaws
