About the role
The Rowan-Virtua New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging (NJISA) is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to join their team. NJISA is a Center of Excellence with a tripartite mission of clinical service, education, and research, offering multidisciplinary care to older individuals across various settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care/geriatric clinical services in ambulatory, acute, home, long-term care, and subacute settings
- Participate in the on-call schedule
- Train and educate medical students and residents
- Support the mission of the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology, Rowan-Virtua New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging
Requirements
- Hold a valid NJ Medical License
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics preferred
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to geriatric medicine and a passion for teaching and research. Experience in geriatric care and a track record of academic achievement are highly desirable.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Proficiency in geriatric assessment tools and a commitment to advancing the field through research are also important.

This faculty appointment is tenure eligible and may be granted upon successful completion of criteria listed in the Rowan-Virtua SOM Faculty Bylaws.
