Physician Associate - CT Surgery Stepdown/Nights - MSH - Full Time
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care under the supervision of a delegated physician within the Mount Sinai Health System. This position requires collaboration with various medical teams and staffing.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care including assessment, management, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ordering of tests, therapeutics, and medications as required by New York State law and hospital policies.
- Accurately and promptly document all pertinent care, status changes, orders, progress notes, procedure notes, and admit/discharge notes in patient records.
- Communicate effectively with medical teams and other associated staffing, providing consultations on patient conditions and care plans.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and care teams to ensure timely and respectful care, prioritizing patient-centered safety and quality.
- Effectively and efficiently perform delegated clinical duties and tasks within the scope of the supervising physician.
- Communicate assessment, treatment, and care planning to patients, families, and designated caretakers in a compassionate and clear manner.
- Facilitate patient continuity of care across multi-disciplinary services and support efficient patient throughput.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- NCCPA Board Certification for 5 years.
- New York State Licensure for 3 years.
- DEA Licensure for 3 years.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications for 2 years.
- Infection Control Certification for 4 years.
- 0-2 years of experience in the clinical specialty of hire, or relevant experience as a new graduate from an accredited P.A. Program.

The salary range for this role is $154,028.76 - $189,103.31 annually, subject to a variety of factors including experience, education, and operational need.
