Responsibilities
- Manage patient care, diagnose, order tests and medications, and document in patient records.
- Communicate with medical teams and provide consultations on patient conditions and plans of care.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and care teams to ensure patient safety and quality.
- Perform delegated clinical duties and tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Communicate assessment, treatment, and care planning to patients, families, and caretakers.
- Facilitate patient continuity of care across multi-disciplinary services.
- Adhere to clinical and institutional policies and procedures.
- Maintain required certifications and licensure as per Medical Staff policy and maintain active Mount Sinai Health System privileges.
- Promote self-learning and CME requirements for board certification and practice of evidence-based medicine.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to infection control standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program, Masters preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in clinical specialty of hire or new graduate from an accredited PA Program.
