Physician - Assistant Transplant Surgeon

About the role

The Assistant Transplant Surgeon (Junior Staff Physician) provides comprehensive surgical and clinical care for abdominal transplant patients under the supervision and direction of the Transplant Surgery faculty. This position is designed for surgeons who have successfully completed fellowship training in abdominal transplantation and are transitioning to independent practice.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all aspects of the transplant program, including donor procurement, kidney and liver transplantation, inpatient and outpatient transplant care, call coverage, multidisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement, and educational activities.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed fellowship training in abdominal transplantation and be transitioning to independent practice.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong leadership qualities are essential.
