About the Role

The University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Surgery seeks a full-time surgeon (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the junior or intermediate level) to provide the full breadth of Transplant Surgery services. The Faculty/Physician Surgeon will function as a Transplant Surgeon, responsible for providing patient care and clinical activities in the area of Transplant Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care and treatment in the area of Transplant Surgery
  • Assist with teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participate in clinical research
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • M.D. Degree or a foreign equivalent
  • Training in a Surgical Residency Program
  • Board Certification in Surgery or eligibility for certification
  • ASTS Certified
  • Illinois medical license or eligibility to obtain this license
  • Expertise in robotic surgery as applied to the field of Transplantation

Pay

The budgeted salary range for the position is $250,000 to $550,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
