Physician Assistant (PRN)

Responsibilities

• Counsels and educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
• Current NCCPA national certification required
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services

Qualifications

• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

• PRN schedule as needed during Clinic hours
• Clinic Hours: Mon & Tue 6:30 am - 4:30 pm; Wed & Thu 11:00 am - 7:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Additional Hours Available for Coverage at Nearby Clinics in Appleton & Madison
