Responsibilities
- Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements
- Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
- Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
- Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
- Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
- Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice
- Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
- Current NCCPA national certification required
- Degree from ARC-PA accredited program
- Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
- At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting

Schedule
- PRN opportunity with flexible, as-needed scheduling
- Clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch break provided during shifts
- Weekend commitment includes at least two Saturday/Sunday shifts per month
- Work alongside a collaborative team of 2–3 providers during weekend coverage
- Dedicated Charting Blocks
- Primary focus is acute and same-day care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Limited chronic care responsibilities focused on exacerbations and medication refill needs
