Physician Assistant (PA) / Clinical Instructor of Urology (Clinician Educator)

About the role

The Department of Urology is looking for a full-time Clinical Instructor of Urology (Clinician Educator) Physician Assistant to work at our USC Institute of Urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC Health Sciences Campus. This position involves obtaining detailed and accurate medical histories from patients to delineate problems and record information, developing and implementing patient management plans, coordinating referrals to specialty and social services, recording progress notes, providing continuity of care, performing and/or interpreting common diagnostic procedures, and assisting Urology doctors in various urologic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining detailed and accurate medical histories from patients to delineate problems and record information
• Developing and implementing patient management plans
• Cooking and interpreting common laboratory, radiological, cardiographic, and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiological progress
• Assisting Urology doctors in the various urologic procedures

Requirements

• Current Physician Assistant license in California
• Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
• Experience in a clinical setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $187,200. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Schedule

The position is full-time and works 8 hours per day.
