About the role
The UCHealth Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Longmont, CO is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the bariatric program. This role focuses on the medical management of the bariatric patient population, providing comprehensive care that spans from initial evaluation through long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Clinical care for bariatric patients, including pre-surgical evaluations, post-operative follow-ups, and ongoing medical management.
- Collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Documentation of patient care in the Epic EMR system.
- Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
- Education and counseling of patients regarding lifestyle changes and nutritional support.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility for Nurse Practitioners.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado or Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility for Nurse Practitioners.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the ANCC or AANPCB.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in Bariatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Gastroenterology.
- Positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and clinical experience.

Pay
The pay range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $150,765 annually. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
