About the Role

A growing orthopedic practice is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to operative and non-operative orthopedic patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthopedic APP or a motivated new graduate interested in developing expertise in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in clinical and surgical settings.
  • Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, APPs, and the broader clinical team.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients independently and in collaboration with physicians.
  • Assess acute and chronic orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Review and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, MRI, and CT scans.
  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and recovery expectations.
  • Assist with the management and follow-up of operative and non-operative patients.
  • Provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical training.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current North Carolina PA or NP license.
  • Current board certification as a PA or NP.
  • Ability to practice in North Carolina.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Interest in orthopedic and musculoskeletal patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous orthopedic experience.
  • Musculoskeletal or orthopedic clinic experience.
  • Experience working with a joint surgeon or orthopedic surgical team.
  • Neurology experience is also considered relevant.
  • New graduates with a strong interest in orthopedic care are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
