About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to conduct medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.
Responsibilities
- Performing in-person disability assessments for Veterans.
- Reviewing and analyzing electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
- Accurately documenting exam findings and completing VA documentation forms.
- Providing medical opinions based on assessment findings.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
- Proficiency in electronic documentation and web-based portals.
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate demeanor and professionalism in Veteran interactions.
Key Details
- Part-time position, typically 2 days/week.
- In-person role with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily.
- Provided equipment includes a computer and necessary documentation tools.
