Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

About the Role

The role involves practicing professional nursing and/or medicine by performing independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data through history-taking and examinations
• Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
• Perform procedures within expertise and organizational policies
• Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, prevention, and health promotion
• Document all care activities thoroughly
• Participate in telehealth, emergency actions, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team
• Maintain professional competence

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s Degree in Nursing for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) or Bachelor’s Degree for Physician Assistants (PAs)
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse with applicable certifications
• Current BLS, NPI, and DEA registrations
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and relevant certifications, including ACLS for procedural sedation if applicable
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills
