About the role
Provides advanced nursing and medical care through independent and delegated functions, utilizing specialized knowledge of biological, physical, social, and behavioral sciences.
Responsibilities
- Collecting patient data
- Formulating diagnoses
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Performing procedures within expertise
- Educating and counseling patients
- Documenting care activities
- Participating in telehealth, emergencies, and administrative duties
Fosters patient-centered relationships, leads healthcare teams, ensures safety, maintains confidentiality, and adheres to legal and institutional standards. Maintains professional competence via ongoing education, certifications, and quality assurance activities. Collaborates effectively with healthcare team members, respecting cultural differences, and seeking guidance when needed.
Qualifications
- Masters in Nursing for APNs or Bachelors for PAs, from accredited programs
- Valid license and certification (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or RN)
- Basic Life Support within 3 months
- National Provider Identifier
- DEA registration
- Credentialing with the organization required
- Additional certifications such as ACLS preferred for procedural sedation roles
