Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

Role Overview This position involves practicing professional nursing and/or medicine, performing independent and delegated clinical functions in accordance with accepted standards. Responsibilities include collecting comprehensive patient data through history-taking and examinations , formulating accurate diagnoses and developing treatment plans , ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests , administering treatments and procedures within expertise and regulatory guidelines , educating and counseling patients and families on health, disease prevention, and health promotion , and documenting all patient care activities thoroughly. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, teamwork, safety, confidentiality, and culturally-sensitive care. It requires maintaining clinical competence through ongoing education, adhering to legal and organizational policies, and participating in quality assurance. The position also involves supervising and mentoring colleagues, managing telehealth encounters, and responding to emergencies. Qualifications Masters degree in Nursing for APNs or Bachelors degree and accreditation for PAsRelevant state licensure and certification, including BLS, NPI, and DEA registrationMust obtain credentialing and, if applicable, certifications like ACLS within specified timelines Ideal candidates demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to professional development.
