About the Role
This role involves practicing professional nursing and medicine, including independent and delegated functions, to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient data through history and examinations
- Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
- Perform procedures within scope and ensure patient safety
- Educate patients and families on health and disease prevention
- Document all care activities accurately
- Manage telehealth encounters and emergency situations
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and maintain professional standards
- Provide patient-centered care, advocacy, and education
- Develop and implement safe, effective treatment plans
- Perform procedures within authorized scope
- Document patient interactions comprehensively
- Engage in team collaboration, quality improvement, and professional development
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) or Bachelor’s Degree for Physician Assistants (PAs), with relevant accreditation
- Valid state license and certification (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI) required
- Additional credentials for procedural sedation and credentialing by relevant groups
- Commitment to continuing education, quality assurance, and cultural sensitivity
