Physician Assistant/ Clinical Assistant - Mount Carmel Clinic

About the role

Mount Carmel Clinic is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a position in a community health centre dedicated to advancing health equity through a harm-reduction, trauma-informed, and culturally safe approach. Responsibilities

• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions
• Perform history and physical exams in a variety of settings
• Attend clinical and educational rounds
• Maintain standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters, including dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when available
• Communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant
• Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment
• Prior experience preferred

Physician Assistant candidates

• Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM

Clinical Assistant candidates

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad
• Must have at least one of the following:
  • Clinical Assistant Assessment
  • NAC OSCE
  • LMCC
