About The Opportunity

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a board eligible / board certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time employed position to join our team on the island of O‘ahu.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across a broad range of adult surgical services, including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, GI, plastics, and other subspecialties
  • Practice in a care-team model alongside CRNAs and anesthesia colleagues within a collaborative, physician-led department
  • Participate in weekday and/or call coverage as part of a shared, equitable schedule
  • Work across multiple HPH facilities on O‘ahu, including Straub Benioff Medical Center, Kapiolani Medical Center, Surgicare and affiliated ambulatory surgery centers
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, professionalism, teaching, and continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for Hawai‘i medical licensure
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach to care

About each facility on Oahu

  • Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children: Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility.
  • Pali Momi Medical Center: With 118 beds and more than 500 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The medical center has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O‘ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, and one of the largest comprehensive centers for cancer care.
  • Straub Benioff Medical Center: A 159-bed medical center in Honolulu. With nearly 600 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub Benioff provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub Benioff is also home to the Pacific region’s only multidisciplinary Burn Care Unit.
