The Physician and Surgeon, CF (Internal Medicine/Family Practice) provides medical care to patients in a correctional facility. They perform medical assessments and provide medical treatment for assigned patients as appropriate and authorized by the medical license. They also provide clinical consultation and support to Advanced Practice Providers and instruct nursing and other clinical staff on medical protocols.

Requirements
Employees in this class, employed within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and who are physically located and assigned to this institution, shall receive a pay differential equivalent to 15% of their monthly base pay.
