Physician and Community Liaison-North Carolina Region
About the Role
The Physician and Community Liaison is a dynamic opportunity that combines clinical expertise with community outreach. As a nurse, you will actively interact with physicians, community leaders, and hospital management to enhance, promote, and further develop an existing business line that improves the lives of patients served.
You will promote RestorixHealth (RXH) and hospital comprehensive wound care program benefits to hospital-affiliated and community physicians, including vascular surgeons, podiatrists, plastic surgeons, oral surgeons, general surgeons, primary care physicians, nursing associations, hospitals, LTC facilities, and workers’ compensation case managers. The goal is to increase awareness of the program’s benefits to applicable patients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a tactical marketing strategy with the RXH Regional Director, Program Director, and hospital-client in collaboration with the hospital’s marketing department and physician liaisons to increase awareness of each responsible program.
- Call on medical professionals to educate them on the program’s multidisciplinary approach to wound care, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), and how the program’s services could benefit their patients.
- Create a target list of prospective professionals using information from WoundDocs, hospital marketing, hospital-based personnel (doctors, liaisons, nurses, administrators), hospital and business directories, trade shows, associations, websites, and other sources.
- Develop a strategic plan to meet monthly goals based on the target list and related strategies in conjunction with the hospital-client.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director, Program Directors, and other stakeholders to develop work plans, measure progress against goals, and keep the team informed of activities and results.
- Execute promotional programs, including Wound Care Symposiums, Continuing Medical Education (CME) Workshops, and other community and physician goodwill events.
- Attend and represent RestorixHealth and the hospital-client at community healthcare events, industry trade shows, and physician panel meetings as requested.
- Manage daily and weekly sales activity expenses, including mileage and other community education expenses, until reimbursed per company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience, including physician-directed educational and promotional development, and marketing.
- Ability to develop effective business relationships and work with senior management, administrators, physicians, nurses, and other decision-makers.
- Strong focus on providing customers with superior support and service.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve results.
- High levels of initiative, effort, and commitment to successfully complete projects and assignments.
- Ability to speak extemporaneously on an individual and group basis.
- Ability to effectively develop and present information and respond to questions from medical professionals and the general public.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical and medical terminology while maintaining required technical expertise, including competitive product knowledge.
