About the role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient education, including post-care planning, proper use of supportive devices and equipment, and gait and functional training.
  • Record, monitor, analyze and review clinical data;
  • Provide feedback to therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance;
  • Adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient.
  • Collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities.
  • Utilize appropriate methods and material for effective learning, monitor response to education and adapt program as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Clear/active State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license
  • Current Functional Independence Measure (FIM) required
  • Experience in appropriate healthcare setting – inpatient rehab – preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Critical thinking and adaptability
  • Services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to read/comprehend written instructions
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • General PC skills
  • Able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and /or equipment up to 50 pounds

Qualifications
