Physical Therapy Assistant (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, including direct treatment and follow-up as assigned by the Physical Therapist.
• Update care plans collaboratively with the therapist and physician, adjusting based on patient progress.
• Plan and coordinate patient re-evaluations and weekly schedules with the therapist.
• Accurately document patient data, progress, and treatment outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians.
• Coordinate referrals with the Patient Care Coordinator and participate in patient care conferences and mandatory training.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program and current State licensure.
• Minimum of one year’s therapeutic experience, with a preference for two years.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and treatment for patients with physician orders.
• CPR certification, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
• At least twelve hours of continuing education annually.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to working conditions as needed.
