Physical Therapy Assistant (Part-Time/Full-Time)

About the Role

A Home Care Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care and treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and treatment
• Update care plans and plan patient re-evaluations
• Document patient progress
• Communicate with team members, including therapists, physicians, and other disciplines
• Coordinate referrals and supervisory visits
• Participate in meetings, conferences, and mandatory in-services
• Attend training sessions
• Accept travel and variable working conditions as assigned

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PTA program
• Current state licensure
• At least one year of therapeutic experience
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Minimum of twelve hours of continuing education annually
