Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Current CPR certification
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
Your Role
As a school-based Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, increase independence, and better access their educational environment. Responsibilities may include:
Responsibilities
- Implementing therapy services and interventions outlined in student IEPs
- Assisting with therapeutic activities designed to improve functional mobility and participation in the school setting
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate service records
- Collaborating with Physical Therapists, educators, and special education teams to support student success
- Assisting with adaptive equipment, positioning, and mobility recommendations
- Participating in ARD meetings and team discussions as appropriate
- Supporting a positive, student-centered educational environment

Pay
Competitive pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
