About the role
Implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education to enhance well-being in home care settings.
Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and supervise treatment procedures set by the licensed Physical Therapist.
- Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
- Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring quality care regardless of patient background.
Requirements
- Current, valid license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle or transportation.
- Availability for weekend rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility tasks.
