Physical Therapy Aide -Outpatient orthopedic & neuro
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to licensed therapists and assistants with patient care and therapeutic activities.
- Maintains the treatment area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Performs clerical duties such as ordering and stocking departmental supplies.
- Transports patients to and from therapy sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assists with patient transfers, treatments, and delivery of therapy equipment.
- Manages the therapy schedule, tracks equipment usage, and ensures daily cleaning and maintenance.
- Maintains high personal standards, professionalism, and positive relationships with team members and patients.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent education.
- Prior hospital Physical Therapy Aide experience preferred.
- Ability to work well with others with tact and diplomacy.
- Good verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Basic clerical skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within three months of hire.
