Physical Therapist - Spaulding

About the Role

Provide physical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Practice in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team. Educate patients, families, and others. Direct and supervise support personnel. Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
• Develop and revise treatment plans reflecting understanding of patients’ age and situation, including discharge planning.
• Document care completely, timely, and in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
• Orient, train, and mentor therapy and healthcare students to achieve stated performance expectations.
• Identify and act on performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
• Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree required; experience cannot substitute for the degree.
• Current Physical Therapist state license required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic math and computer science skills.
• Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques for the rehabilitation population.
• Problem-solving skills for evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution considering patient’s age, psychosocial, cultural, and religious background.
• Ability to teach others and self-assess learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
• Safely execute job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
• Assess and interact with patients and families using theories of human growth and development, family systems, and cultural background.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to maintain a variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs (evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel).

Pay

$43.44 - $69.88/hour (Grade PF1444). At Mass General Brigham, base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. The provided range is an estimate based on minimum job qualifications.
