Physical Therapist (PT) Outpatient Neuro PRN

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Outpatient Rehab team for intermittent coverage needs.

Schedule

• PRN/as-needed basis
• Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month
• 1 minor and 1 major holiday per year
• Some weekday availability required for training and orientation

Responsibilities

• Select evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status
• Formulate appropriate treatment plans
• Demonstrate essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Adhere to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Previous Physical Therapist (PT) experience
