Physical Therapist - PT (Full Time - 10k sign on)

Overview

A Full Time Physical Therapist (PT/RPT) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Horseheads, NY. 10k sign-on bonus!

Bethany Nursing Home (part of Bethany Village) in Horseheads, NY, is a 122-bed not-for-profit facility offering all levels of care- SNF, ALF, ILF and Independent living cottages and apartments. Strong leadership, supportive and friendly staff! Located in Chemung County and close to Watkins Glen area.

Requirements

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting
• Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment
• Possess a current Physical Therapist (PT / RPT), license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
• Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation
• Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
• Work well with others in a team setting
• Be flexible with hours
• SNF experience preferred

Qualifications

• A successful Rehab Director will:
• Ensure efficient and effective operations
• Plan and implement rehabilitation programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
• Provide administrative rehabilitation supervision
• Serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor
• Provide speech therapy services as needed
• Be a licensed speech therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
• Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• The ideal candidate will have experience managing a SNF rehabilitation department
