About the role
We are currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team at The CORE Institute's North Phoenix clinic. We offer competitive salary, up to 2k in monthly performance bonuses, comprehensive support model, student loan repayment program, and much more.
Responsibilities
- Affirms patient health status and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Provides acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, doing physicals, assessing patient condition, establishing goals, treatments, and care plans in conjunction with the physician, patient/family.
- Ensures appropriate treatment is performed in an interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians about the impact of physical therapy factors on the patient’s health status.
- Documents findings, treatments, and other patient information for the medical record.
- Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises.
- Serves as an information/education resource for patients, families, and staff.
- Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Technicians.
- Serves as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
- Provides ongoing education to the Physical Therapy staff.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Two plus years of experience in Spine orthopedics and general orthopedics.
- Two years of experience in and outpatient physical therapy clinic. Experience with orthopedics is preferred.
Qualifications
- Requires a Master's degree and Current certification as a Physical Therapist.
Skills
- Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following the treatment plan.
- Knowledge of how to assess patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth indices.
- Knowledge of health promotion principles and techniques and patient learning measurements.
- Ability to gather and analyze physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data.
- Ability to evaluate patient problems in person or via phone and provide appropriate advice, intervention, or referral.
- Ability to evaluate and revise the care plan based on patient changes.
