About the role

We are currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team at The CORE Institute's Sun City West PT Clinic. We offer competitive salary, up to $50k in bonus incentives, and comprehensive support model.

Responsibilities

  • Affirms patient health status and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Provides acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, doing physicals, assessing patient condition, establishing goals, treatments, and care plans in collaboration with the physician and patient/family.
  • Ensures appropriate treatment is performed in an interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians about the impact of physical therapy factors on the patient’s health status.
  • Documents findings, treatments, and other patient information for the medical record.
  • Educates patients and families on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises.
  • Serves as an information/education resource for patients, families, and staff.
  • Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians.
  • Serves as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
  • Provides ongoing education to the Physical Therapy staff.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Two plus years of experience in Spine orthopedics and general orthopedics.
  • Experience with orthopedics is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree and Current certification as a Physical Therapist.
  • Two years of experience in and outpatient physical therapy clinic.

Skills

  • Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following the treatment plan.
  • Knowledge of how to assess patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth indices.
  • Knowledge of health promotion principles and techniques and patient learning measurements.
  • Skill in gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data.
  • Skill in accurately evaluating patient problems in person or via phone and providing appropriate advice, intervention, or referral.
  • Skill in evaluating and revising the care plan based on patient changes.
