About the Role

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient setting. Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy treatment modalities and therapeutic procedures through application in patient care. Effectively applies all physical therapeutic techniques appropriate to patient needs and physician orders. Completes all required documentation, assists in scheduling, and attends interdisciplinary rounds or committee meetings as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care using physical therapy treatment modalities and therapeutic procedures.
  • Apply physical therapeutic techniques based on patient needs and physician orders.
  • Complete required documentation and assist in scheduling.
  • Attend interdisciplinary rounds or committee meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and clinical certifications.
  • Lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting devices.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to drive an appropriate plan of care.
  • Demonstrate intermediate-level computer skills for accurate completion of computerized medical records, billing records, and other tasks.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or master's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Active Maryland license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Demonstrated competence to provide physical rehabilitation services through education, training, and experience.
  • New graduates with clinical rotations in an outpatient setting will be considered.
  • If functioning as a Women's Health Physical Therapist, appropriate certification (e.g., Women's Health PT, Women's Health Specialist/PT) is required.
  • If functioning as a Lymphedema Specialist, appropriate training and education are required.
