Physical Therapist - Outpatient Neuro

Role Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The therapist collaborates with healthcare professionals, communicates effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds, and participates in program development to meet organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting findings; communicate results and involve patients and families in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, monitor patient progress, and modify plans as needed; collaborate with other healthcare providers.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care; ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Demonstrate effective time management, flexibility, and empathy to ensure smooth patient access to care.
• Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in mentoring new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong communication, customer service, and clinical skills, with proficiency in evaluation and treatment approaches.
