Physical Therapist - Inpatient

Facility: Marsh Med Ctr, Marshfield Medical Center (a Level II Trauma Center) – an engaging therapy environment where clinicians collaborate within a large, interdisciplinary rehab team. Therapists work across a broad continuum of care—from ICU to inpatient rehab—managing complex and diverse patient needs.

About the role

We’re seeking a strategic, communicative, and compassionate physical therapist who will diagnose and treat individuals with conditions that limit their ability to move. You’ll work to improve patients’ quality of life by alleviating pain and enhancing physical function through flexible, collaborative, and innovative treatment plans. The role involves lifting and transferring patients, as well as being on your feet throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and delivers physical therapy programs to help patients recover and improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
• Documents patient information for evaluation and demonstrates documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines, meeting all regulatory requirements.
• Educates patients and their family members about treatment plans, schedules, and self-exercises to continue at home.
• Analyzes and records therapeutic progress, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Follows guidelines, regulations, standards, and safety procedures in the therapy process.

Requirements

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
• Valid driver’s license, when applicable.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment.

Pay

Salary Range: $40.00 - $57.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 with a commitment.

Schedule

• Full-time position with rotating shifts.
• Weekly hours: 40.00.
