About the Role
A Physical Therapist specializing in movement, responsible for enhancing patient quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and movement prescriptions. Collaborates with Rehabilitation teams to treat patients of all ages, including pediatric cases, in inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed evaluations and administer therapeutic interventions for physical and developmental rehabilitation.
- Oversee comprehensive rehab programs addressing physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
- Promote patient independence by leveraging external resources and supporting self-determination.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet discharge and care goals.
- Advocate for patients, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients, including infants and adolescents, and adapt care as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of clinical data, regulations, and documentation using electronic charting systems.
Requirements
- Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
- New Mexico Physical Therapy license and BLS certification required.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of healthcare regulations.
