PHYSICAL THERAPIST

About the role

The Physical Therapist at Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute evaluates and analyzes results to develop an Individual Program Plan (IPP) for patients with neurological disorders. They provide direct physical therapy services, supervise assistants and technicians, and consult with referring practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Review patient screenings and select appropriate assessment procedures.
• Develop a comprehensive treatment plan based on evaluations and consult with advanced clinicians.
• Administer physical therapy treatments and document patient progress.
• Provide discharge plans and educate patients and families about their condition and care.
• Refer patients for additional assessments and complete necessary documentation.
• Communicate with referring practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain therapy equipment and recommend repairs or replacements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, preferably Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience with neurological disorders, particularly head injuries and cerebral vascular accidents.
