About the Role
A Physical Therapist specializing in patient rehabilitation, movement assessment, and therapeutic interventions to improve physical function and development across all ages. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, promote patient independence, and coordinate discharge plans.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients using various therapeutic techniques
- Interpret clinical data and oversee rehabilitation programs
- Advocate for patient needs with a focus on growth, development, and psychosocial well-being
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Assess and treat children from birth to 18 years old, addressing motor and developmental disorders (pediatric-specific)
- Support adult units as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Valid New Mexico physical therapy license or provisional license
- Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of rehabilitation principles
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
