Physical Therapist - Inpatient

About the role

This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient physical therapy services, including initial evaluations, treatment planning, implementation, and documentation, adhering to professional standards and accreditation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based care with proper evaluation, treatment, DME recommendations, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring safe and effective outcomes through clinical reasoning.
• Complete accurate documentation of interventions, discharge plans, and outcome data.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards and maintain professional communication.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor new staff and students, and contribute to ongoing education and program development.
• Assist in developing clinical guidelines and serve as a clinical instructor for students and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral).
• DC licensure or eligibility.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations is advantageous.
