About the Role

A Physical Therapist specializing in patient movement and rehabilitation, working collaboratively within inpatient teams to improve patient outcomes across all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients using diverse therapeutic interventions for physical and developmental disorders.
  • Interpret data, oversee comprehensive rehab programs, and promote patient independence and self-determination.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate discharge goals, and advocate for patients.
  • Provide pediatric care, addressing motor development, strength, balance, and gait for infants to adolescents; may float to adult units as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and possess basic computer skills.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
  • New Mexico Physical Therapy License or provisional/temporary license required.
  • Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of growth and development principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
