About the Role
A Physical Therapist specializing in patient movement and rehabilitation, working collaboratively within inpatient teams to improve patient outcomes across all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients using diverse therapeutic interventions for physical and developmental disorders.
- Interpret data, oversee comprehensive rehab programs, and promote patient independence and self-determination.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate discharge goals, and advocate for patients.
- Provide pediatric care, addressing motor development, strength, balance, and gait for infants to adolescents; may float to adult units as needed.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and possess basic computer skills.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
- New Mexico Physical Therapy License or provisional/temporary license required.
- Less than one year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
Skills
