Physical Therapist I - Pelvic Health

About the role

UNC Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist I to join our team in the specialty area of pelvic health physical therapy. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position is split between two outpatient clinic locations: UNC Therapy Services Cary and UNC Therapy Services Durham. The Cary clinic is an expansion of pelvic health services within an orthopedic setting in a wellness center, while the Durham clinic focuses on pelvic health and lymphedema therapies. Both locations offer 1:1 patient care with 60-minute appointments in dedicated treatment rooms.

Candidates must have prior work experience in this specialty or have completed a 12-week clinical rotation as a student, plus completion of Pelvic Floor Level 1 education. The ideal candidate has prior work experience in pelvic floor therapy, trauma-informed care, and the ability to manage dual caseloads of adult patients of various genders across both clinics.

Responsibilities

• Complete physical therapy documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines.
• Manage daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy, meeting productivity standards.
• Administer tests and measures to establish a plan of care and interventions; manage resources to accomplish patient goals.
• Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
• Mentor assistive personnel and delegate responsibilities per licensing board guidelines.
• Provide clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under the guidance of clinical specialists or subject matter experts.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring; evaluate learner performance.
• Assist in planning and coordinating clinical programs in collaboration with clinical specialists or managers.
• Participate in continuous improvement of clinical services by attending departmental meetings and in-services.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire date.
• Prior work experience in pelvic health or completion of a 12-week clinical rotation in this specialty as a student.
• Completion of Pelvic Floor Level 1 education.

Pay

Salary range: $35.87 - $51.57 per hour (hiring range determined by experience and internal equity).

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Day shift.
• Onsite work assignment split between UNC Therapy Services Cary and UNC Therapy Services Durham.
