Physical Therapist (Full Time)

About the role

The physical therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services and adhering to all conditions outlined in the personnel services agreement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assessing and evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative, functional status and developing the total plan of care.
  • Evaluating home environment.
  • Absessing for muscle strength, mobility, gait, ROM – potential for rehab.
  • Directing physical therapy treatment.
  • Initiating physical therapy program and instructing other personnel and/or family/caregiver members in certain phases of physical therapy.
  • Instructing and supervising home health aides every two weeks.
  • Participating in discharge planning for patient and in peer consultation process.
  • Providing physical therapy consultation to home families/caregivers when indicated.
  • Providing inservice education programs for nursing organization personnel as needed.

Education And Work Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy approved by an accredited organization.
  • PREFERRED: Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy approved by an accredited organization.
  • Certification: PT License and CPR certification, if required by state.
  • Experience: 2+ Years.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Show compassion and understanding.
  • Knowledge in HIPAA laws and confidentiality policies.
  • Ability to create and implement treatment plans based on patients’ specific condition and needs.
  • Ability to evaluate, conduct and develop customized treatment plans based on findings.
  • Strong observation, time management, detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, talk, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to operate various equipment base on department.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms).
  • Four hearing requirements listed: In person speech, Telephone, Other remote speech and other sounds.
  • Clarity of vision: Near visual acuity, Far visual acuity, Peripheral vision.

Compensation

Pay Range: $80,591.00 - $113,388.50 per year

Reasonable Pay Estimate: A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $80,591.00 - $113,388.50 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
