About the Role

This full-time position is based at our Wendover, Utah Clinic. The Physical Therapist will provide, manage, and plan direct physical therapy healthcare for a specified patient population, reporting to the Physical Therapy Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and manage compassionate, patient-centered care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
  • Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally.
  • Consult and practice with other health professionals.
  • Direct and coordinate patient physical therapy treatment activities.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of history and therapy treatment activities.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy.
  • Comply with all applicable state/federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Adhere to Sacred Circle Healthcare Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, and Mission and Values Statements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
  • Valid Utah Physical Therapy License.
  • Interest in working with underserved and tribal populations in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Well-rounded clinical skills with the ability to handle all ages and a full range of diagnoses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of physical therapy-related experience.
  • Experience/familiarity with pain neuroscience education (PNE).
  • Interest in persistent/chronic pain.
  • Experience working with the Native American community.

Skills

  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of care.
  • Familiarity with pain neuroscience education (PNE).
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Understanding of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.
  • Critical thinking and reasoning that values patient education.
  • Ability to handle all ages and a full range of diagnoses.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Effective communication with patients, clients, clinical, and administrative staff in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Schedule

  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
