About the role
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
Responsibilities
- Interview patient, family, caregivers, significant others to obtain information about prior level of function, home environment, family relationships, health and psychosocial history.
- Perform client tests, measurements and evaluations as indicated for the patient’s condition.
- Establish measurable/functional treatment goals.
- Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation, age-related and diagnosis-related policies.
- Administer treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan.
- Evaluate effectiveness of treatment and adjust the treatment to achieve maximum benefits.
- Monitor all patients under his/her care: supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and/or Technicians who are involved with treatment, and assure appropriate treatment and documentation; submit a modified plan of care to the physician for altered plans of care; report any adverse reactions to treatment or changes in condition to the physician as indicated.
Requirements
- Required Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Oregon Physical Therapist License
- AHA BLS within 30 days
Preferred
- Clinical experience dealing with a broad-based rehabilitation facility
Pay
$45.04 - $67.00 /hour
