Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy and related services while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients in accordance with physical therapy principles and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines
• Deliver quality patient care including screening, evaluation, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and Rehab Techs, and case management
• Maintain professional conduct representing Reliant Rehabilitation's commitment to quality and service in all client interactions
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding physical therapy

Essential Duties

• Optimize patient functionality and skills by providing, directing, and/or overseeing physical therapy
• Provide consultation and clinical supervision to PTAs
• Directly supervise PTA and Rehab Tech in skilled tasks during group and individual treatment to promote efficient resource utilization and facilitate clinical skill development in accordance with State Practice Acts, OBRA, and Reliant Rehabilitation policy
• Build a strong physical therapy program
• Enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, other professional staff, self-study, and continuing education
• Maintain a valid state license
• Maintain awareness of issues related to physical therapy and the healthcare environment
• Understand relevant payment models, billing guidelines, treatment guidelines, and clinically appropriate delivery methods
• Provide quality care with reasonable goals and outcomes within guidelines
• Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within facilities
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy
• Valid physical therapist state license
• Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
• Basic Internet navigation skills
