About the role
We are in search of a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent health care in our facility. Ideal candidates are quick thinkers, organized, reliable, kind, and personable.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in following safety standards established for the physical therapy department.
- Follow established departmental policies and procedures, including an appropriate dress code.
- Be alert for resident safety during all therapy.
- Comply with the Facility’s established safety precautions.
- Assist in using safety equipment and supplies when lifting or moving residents.
- Assist in ensuring physical therapy practices and procedures comply with current applicable regulations.
- Follow established infection control procedures and standard and universal precautions when performing duties.
- Assist in ensuring the safety and comfort of the resident while going to and from the therapy room or area.
- Assist in ensuring that the therapy area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
- Follow reporting procedures when observing hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Wear personal protective clothing when performing services that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
- Report missing and illegible labels or SDSs to your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
