About the Role
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Follow all state laws and the supervising PT's treatment plan, performing only qualified procedures.
- Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes, coordinating with healthcare team members.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Current licensure or certification to practice in Washington.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse home environments.
